Preferences - Revisions Panel

When files change, a new backup revision file is created and stored at the Backup Server. Use the Revisions panel to place a limit on the number of file revisions you keep in your account on the Backup Server. You may keep an unlimited number of revisions by selecting the Do not limit the number of revisions of my files option. The unlimited option consumes the most disk space at the Backup Server. To conserve storage space, consider placing a limit on the number of file revisions you keep in your account on the Backup Server.

To place a limit on the number of file revisions stored at the Backup Server

  1. Run the Backup Client.

  2. Choose Tools>Preferences.

  3. Select the Revisions tabbed page.

  4. To keep an unlimited number of revisions, select Do not limit the number of revisions of my files.

  5. To keep a limited number of revisions, select Limit the number of revisions and change the number as desired.

  6. Press OK to save your settings.

Keep in mind that the ability to control the number of revisions stored is available from the Backup Client software only. Each Backup Client can set their own revision policy based on their individual needs.
