   "The Backup Client is not connecting to the Data Repository Manager"
   "The Data Repository Manager is not connecting to the Data Repository Service"

The most common cause of connectivity failure is due to security applications (firewalls or antivirus programs) that block TCP/IP communication between the Backup Client and the Data Repository Manager. 

The second most common cause of connectivity failure is because an Administrative password has changed.
